Ptil Tekhelet Tzitzit Strings – Rambam are authentic Tekhelet strings prepared for the mitzvah of Tzitzit according to the Rambam configuration. The Tekhelet dye is produced from the Murex trunculus sea snail (Argamon Kehe Kutzim), the source used for these Ptil Tekhelet strings.
The production is carried out with careful attention to the halachic requirements of Tzitzit. The dye extraction and wool dyeing are natural, manual processes, while the spinning and twisting of the strings are performed L'Shem Mitzvat Tzitzit by God-fearing Jews.
The strings are produced through Avodat Yad (handwork) and Teviyat Gavra, under rabbinical supervision, including the Badatz of Rabbi Rubin and certification of Rabbi Eliyahu Tavger.
Rambam Options
Rambam 13 – Thin
Thin Ptil Tekhelet strings prepared for a Rambam tying method using 13 chulyot (sections).
Rambam 13 – Thick
Thicker strings for the same Rambam 13-chulyot configuration, providing a more substantial appearance and feel.
Rambam 7 – Thick
Thick Ptil Tekhelet strings specifically intended for a Rambam tying method using 7 chulyot only.
The different Rambam options allow you to select the appropriate string thickness and configuration before tying your Tzitzit.
Important: Because extraction of the Tekhelet dye and dyeing of the wool are natural processes performed by hand, slight variations in the Tekhelet shade may occur between sets. This is a natural characteristic of the production process.
